Annoying spam from guests?

I saw on here a few weeks ago about everyone getting spam in PMs from guests. It just happened to me again. Anyone else? Is there anything we can do to stop it?

I'm sure. lol. I was like "Why in the world did I get this? This is a lolita site, we aren't talking about drugs or anything." GAH! I really wish we could make it so that you had to be a member to message. Or at least enter one of those little catchpas or what ever they're called.

I've opened them, and they didn't give me a virus. But they have links. I'm not clicking on them.

Spam is one of the saddest facts of the internet. We block spam "users" every week before they get a chance to post, but some get through.

I've stopped guests from being able to PM which is sad because a lot of users PM me with problems signing up. Unfortunately there are people out there ready to exploit every resource people try to create and use for legitimate purposes.

Hopefully that will stop the spam, and we'll keep doing what we can to stop spamers getting onto the forums

iv had new members sending me links to click on- shouldnt they change the html code to a word or something instead of an actual address, it just looks way too suspicious
